Callanish - Isle of Lewis

Approaching the location with excitement as I had always wanted to make the trip to the Isle of Lewis and specifically to Callansih… I wasn’t disappointed. To be immersed in an area with these monolithic standing stones sends a shiver down your spine. Older than Stone Henge they are even more unique due to their remote location. Capturing images of the stones isn’t the easiet though as the stones conflict with each other, then again they weren’t built with photographers in mind! The ever changing light is yet another challenge. However, I was exceptionally pleased with the images I photographed.
