The joint exhibition had 150 iconic prints by Ansel Adams, and 50 silver gelatin prints by Lindsay.
Many of Lindsay's images were mural prints printed up to 8' x 4'. The theme for the exhibition was ' Caledonia to California' which celebrated the journey of John Muir from his homeland in Scotland to America.
The exhibition was inspired by the fact that Ansel Adams became a director of the Sierra Club (the worlds first environmental club) which John Muir had founded some years earlier.
